animated graphs and charts

Traditional data columns can be replaced by any kind of symbolic imagery with lighting effects carried across as shadows onto any background. Introducing animation, the elements expand on cue, adding impact to any presentation.

The software even allows one set of data to seamlesly morph to another, providing dramatic comparisons of results.

Blame television. Primetime news programmes have set incredibly high graphic standards. Explaining results or performance, they synchronise what's being shown with what's being said. They sustain their audiences by employing timing and anticipation as powerful communication tools. How can you summon such levels of interest within the realms of a CD project?

The key to a successful presentation is the way information is presented. Raw numbers and statistics are uncaptivating, and do not hold an audience's attention. Charts, graphs and other visual aids help put things in perspective and are essential for any presentation.

Though Excel rapidly delivers flat shaded 2D and 3D charts, that's still a long way off being inspiring. Even dressing up such imagery with pretty backgrounds doesn't really get you much further up the captivation ladder.

With specialist software, thematic, animated graphs are created as movies (at any resoulution) which can be easily inserted into any presentation. By defining highlights of the information, not only can the build of an animated chart be precisely defined, but also the view angle or lighting may be adjusted. As the speaker explains the facts behind the numbers, the chart will grow and zoom dramatically to illustrate every phrase. The technique will certainly hold viewer attention.
